TWO GUNS

Yes, I got a warm feeling ....
Last nite, members of the local National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF), came to me and ask if I could give them a hand with the special hunt this Friday for the disabled hunt. The NWTF calls this hunt, " Wheelin' Sportsman".
Wheelin' Sportsmen provides all people with disabilities opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. NWTF chapters host Wheelin' Sportsmen events across North America that help participants gain a sense of independence by learning to stay active in the outdoors on their own in between Wheelin' Sportsmen events.
Through events like Wheelin' Sportsmen's women's deer hunts or Ultimate Team-Ups, which pair hunters with diabilities with experienced hunting companions, able-bodied persons can join in the fun of putting the outdoors back into a person's life.
And knowing that our bottomland hardwoods, the national wildlife refuge here is noted as some of the last remaining, least disturbed timber in the Mississippi River Delta. This is some serious swampland.....
They need some help getting these disabled folks safely to their stands and help them with their hunts in this swampland. And they know, what the RTV will do in these swamps. Told them I would be honored to bring the RTV, smaller trailers, and anything else that needs to be to get these folks where they need to go to hunt.
Oh God, it sure made me feel good !!!! Words can't describe the way I feel .............
Been making plans in my head for these folks since they asked me.
Being I hunting these very woods and swamps most of my life. I know exactly where I want to put some of these people. Back in the early 90's,
The federal goverment purchased the land and turned it into a refuge.
With more than 50 million people with disabilities in the United States, Wheelin' Sportsmen fills a significant void.
And just maybe, ...............
I can do my little part to put some smiles on faces Friday ....
