RTV's Wanted or For Sale ..post em here.

Here is a RTVX 900 coming up for auction here in Middle Tennessee in a couple of weeks. Being a southern model, it shouldn't have any rust on it. I bet the photographer doesn't know that is 1917 miles shown, not hours shown. If anyone is seriously interested, I can take some more detailed pictures and send them to you. Auction yard is only a couple of miles from my farm.

I think you are close on price. I did a quick search and saw a 2023 with 320 hours for 14,500. This was on Machinerypetes web site.
From that if anything you might be a tad high but start at that and come down if she doesn't move.
Also when you post the new pics (will have to be in a new post) but mention where you are located. Makes a big difference for those shopping for a RTV.

Price wise, I'd say you're pretty close to being market value but it's a matter of "what's it worth to you to sell". I'd check other machines like yours on places like:

Myself, I have a machine (tractor, UTV, ATV...) valuation tool I created many years ago that was pretty close to spot-on. Unfortunately, it's on another computer I'm not near right now.
As I recall, it was something like:
Starting with retail price or price paid, reduce your price by a couple hundred $/year of tractor age and $1/hour of tractor hours. Adjust for machine condition. As for aftermarket accessories... don't plan on them increasing value too much and definitely not what you paid for them.

But that was then (20 years ago) and this is now. Due to inflation and other factors, well kept, older machines are really holding their value. New machines are so outrageously priced, well-kept used equipment is valuable.
Examples:
I have a 1996 JD 770 tractor with loader, great condition, about 800 hours. I paid around $11K for it new, 29 years ago.
Guess what they're going for now... Right around $11K. Inflation has matched depreciation and I could probably sell it for what I paid for it.

My 2004 RTV with under 430 hours is in near new condition - I paid around $10K, added about $3K in accessories. Since the new ones are so expensive, same story. Old iron holds it's value.
Here's a list of old RTV's for sale. Condition wise, these are 7-8. Mine is a 10. These 7-8's are selling for almost $9K

He did note his location in his post:

Hi there, I have been looking to see if this might be too much candy for a nickel. 2008 Kubota 900 UTV, Motor in good condition, starts on first turn of the key. Transmission engages but now power. Will move but low power. 6,710 hour. Dump bed. full cab. soft removable doors. $3,200 . on a trailer can deliver.
Lets see how this works out. This can also be use for RTV parts etc.
It does not have to be your RTV ...if you see a nice RTV or a good deal on a RTV post it here to help out others who may be in the market.

My knowledge of hydro transmissions is very, very limited.
If it's something you can tear down, identify any/all issues and rebuild it's up to you.
I'd guess having a dealer rebuild or replace would be in the $4500-6000 range. Add that to your $3200, you're probably going to have $8000 into it. At 6700 hours, I'm guessing that engine is well past its mid-life and could start giving you issues as well.
For $8-9000, I'd bet you could find one in very good running condition with significantly less hours.

I agree with BC zoom see a lot of rtv for in running condition for about 4 or 5k with about 4000 hours
I’m in agreement. I have to squelch the desire to “rescue” old worn out stuff thinking it’s a good value. My time may be worth something beyond the tinkering. The seller says he’s taking it to auction and then if unsuccessful will part it out.

But...........it's on it's own trailer and they can deliver it to you........think of the possibilities of what you can do with a trailer delivered to your driveway, with a piece of junk on it, thrown in for free........:sneaky:

Is the glass half empty or half full?? :boobies:
