I am gonna issue one to you for mis-matching threads!! There are no holes in the back of my a-frame,only the front ones where the stick stopper mounts.

on the back of your a-arms do you have the holes to mount them??

Yes, the lower a-arms are the same on the RTV500. However, the factory plastic CV boot guards are different dimensionally (smaller). So, it appears there is a clearance issue with the RTV500 suspension configuration and/or tires compared to all the other RTVs.

Finally got around to checking and yes, my 900 already has steering stoppers. So all is well and no need for yours. Still need to install the boot savers. Hope to get to it on the weekend.

good deal twoguns said all the rtv's from 05,on up has them so you shoulda been good to go i still don't see why bota woulda sold a unit without them in the first place seems like a recall to me!!!

I have what they call an 2007 that I purchased in 2008. It does NOT have the stoppers but does have the holes in the A-frame for mounting protectors. A friend of mine has a900 that he purchased from another dealer at the same time but he jhas the tabs welded to his A-frame with no holes for mounting. Kubota was aware or had enginerred the 900 to have the protectors.

OK, the prototypes have been received (and picture below).

First, they're very nice. Heavy duty as well.

Tommy. You should let the paint dry before packaging. :-) The paper towels wouldn't come off...

The holes were an exact match.

One thing I forgot and assumed incorrectly on. The holes on the lower A-arm where these stoppers mount are not threaded nor do they have a nut welded to the inside. When I got the OEM stoppers, they came with a plate that you put behind the A-arm that was threaded to receive the bolt from the stopper. (Bolt goes through stopper, A-arm then into this plate that's threaded). If you're getting stoppers from Tommy, maybe he can make something or just stick a washer and nut inside for mounting.

I have not yet fired up the RTV and turned to make sure the stopper aligns correctly. I'll do that later

For the stick stopper portion, the coverage height is good. If there was to be a change, I'd propose leaving the steel that was cut off over top of the bent portion (the steering limiter). It's hard to tell in the picture but here's what I'm seeing. As mounted, the A-arm is at an angle to the rotor. If I was backing up and the stopper took a direct hit, the branch (or whatever) could slide to the right (as pictured below) and catch the boot (where you can see it in the picture).

As usual, nice work Tommy!!!

they was dry for a few days they just liked the paper towels .lol i'm gonna be looin at the picture and i think i will redo the stickstoppers all together i have an idea or two . so from what your saying there are no threaded holes and just a threaded plate . is there anyway you can tell me if thoses holes are directly across from the holes that hold the front boot gaurd on?? this info is important because the new bootsaver will have the steering stopper built onto it and i need to figure out where to put them holes at on the bootsavers.

Just an update to say that I was able to install Tommy's Boot Savers on Sunday afternoon. Very impressed with Tommy's work! Thanks!

Tommy: I was wrong ! I do have the 2 holes like Brian. But I also have the plate you sent in the picture as part of the A plate at the pivot for the A frame. Is my stickstopper a prototype also? I just bolted through the holes with 1/4-20 bolts and did away with the tapped factory plates when I mounted mine.

the little triangle plate i sent you goes in the muddle of the a-arm on the inside and the bolts go up from the underneath to sandwich it to the a-arm and help hold the bootsaver on the a-arm. is there anyway you can measure if the hole on the a-arm is the same disstance from the ends on both the front and the rear?? if they are that will help me out in makin the new bootsavers with the stoppers included on them.

i have to go to bring my son to his apointment but when i get home i will load my sc3/sc4 back into my puter and get to drawing on your picture and show you what the new bootsaver will look like .

Tommy they have the exact same distance between holes. I used the plate from the RTV plastic guard and it bolts right up.

ok you see where the end of the a-arm is ?? measure the distance from there to the first hole and see if it's the same as the front of the a-arm.
