Don't worry about the bolts, but I appreciate your offer. It's enjoyable to deal with honest people.

I have a lifetime supply of bolts, nuts, washers, and other various fasteners accumulated over the years ... I have owned motorcycles all my life, and I always had stuff left over after working on them. If all else fails, Fastenal is just down the road a bit. And I was getting hung up on how to make the OEM bolts fit thru two pieces of steel, plus the A-arm and still have enough thread to make up to the backing bar.

I believe I can take it from here. Thanks for all your help, Peanut.
 
I got a pair of Peanut's stick stoppers and am very pleased with them. I am not a mechanical person, but after looking at the parts and looking at the posts on this forum, it was fairly easy to attach everything. I did need to go to Home Depot and get 4 longer bolts for the front, but after that, everything was smooth sailing. Thank you Peanut, well done. I was in the woods today cutting and hauling firewood, your product got a very good workout today. Thank you again. XTROOPER

You will have to have longer bolts. Mine are 1 1/4" long or 30 mm long.
The bolt size is 6mm x 1.00 , STD Thread.

For a fact, I can say, when you get 'em installed. You will be one happy person. For I have had Tommy's stickstoppers on my machine since day one. And know of many in my area that has intalled them on theirs, and like mine. Still a hanging on .
I know it has been at least four years ago, maybe five. Time flies >>> anyway. These things are superior to anything esle on the market. They have proven themselves to be tuff and they do their job.

Would just about bet anyone, that these stickstoppers on my machine has pushed more gumbo mud, deflected more cypress knees, more sticks that one could ever imagine. And with that being said, has saved me more money on boot replacement than you can imagine. That is a great investment on you machine.
We work our machine, we do deer management in this RTV, and boy, we hunt like there is no tomorrow out of it. We love it.

Best way to install them, is to remove front tires completely, so you can get to where you need to be. You will be fine !!!!

jeeze twoguns looks like you ran them things through some tough areas.that aluminum was polished when i sent them to you.lol glad their holdin up for you though. and to think if it wasn't for you these things would not exist. remember how many phone calls and pictures and measurements we went through just to get them right?

.... now last year, know I heard some of them deer walking in front of the RTV looking, winking, at them stick stoppers, saying something in the area of,,,,, "dat dem thangs that makes him keep going in dem swamps mister ",,, " maybe need to get a set for our front ends "

I swear they were smiling !!!!

Wholly Mooooley, I received a royalty check from Peanut today for all the advertizzzzing dooez pics I took dun made fer him making stic stopers, man ya, they work someting wunderful ! Glad you boz figurd it out, theyz work the charm in da woods chasin them dang deer and werkin mz fuud plots !!! :wall:

I got'r done. It took several hours yesterday.

The first side took probably 3 hours, but I learned on that side ... completed the other side in about an hour. Now that I've done it, I believe I could do the complete job in no more than 1.5 hours.

After it was all over, I had two perfectly good plastic stick stoppers sitting in the driveway, so I went back and bolted them to the front two bolts. They're a little closer to the wheels now ... wheels, not tires ... so, if nothing else, they may be effective mud scrapers for the inboard sides of the front wheels.

Fear no stick ....
 
heatwave are you sure you have them mounted right?you do have the angled side of the curved plate next to the wheels don't you? if so they should be closer to the wheels than the oem stoppers. can you post a picture of how you got them mounted.if you look at the pictures pinnacle posted you will see they are closer .

Look at Two Guns' pix in #44 above. My stoppers are mounted with the same orientation as his. I just added the plastic stoppers in front of the steel plate. Can't hurt.
 
i have one set that is halfway finished pm me and i'll give you my address it shoundl't take me long to do the rest of the work on them.
