Thanksgiving

Thank you and I wish all of ya'll a Happy Thanksgiving too. Sometimes life gets in a big hurry and then something hits me, maybe the smell of burning wood triggering a distant memory of my youth- then- I slow down and look at the clouds drifting across the sky, the birds and even the leaves blowing around- more memories spurred - like remembering seeing your cold breath in your room as a child and how good those homemade quilts felt in the cold winter. Grateful. And I need to add how it use to be just after electricity was commonplace- having the single light bulb in the ceiling of the house and a long string to turn it on... no wall switches. remember that? I had forgotten till I slowed down and remembered how it use to be. I remember how my Grandma tied a little jar of Rolaids on her light's string so she could find it in the dark.Memories- I got a bunch of 'em . I know we are blessed to live here in the USA and realize I am taking for granted so many things. God Bless Ya'll. bordercollie
yes well said!! i hope everyone one had a safe and filling thanks giving .nuthin like gathering around food and family and havin a good time.now comes the time to walk off all them calories we ate in one meal.i was introduced to a turkey cooker by twoguns called the bigeasy man that thing can cook.we do roast/chickens/turkey and rib racks in it and you never ate meat so tender in your life .thanks twoguns for the info on that cooker i had to buy two of them because when the family gets together we ussually do two turkeys . if you guys don't have one go get one you'll never fry turkey again.lol
hey we can all me up at twoguns place being he's the halfway point in louisiana.if we all show up at one time it will raise the towns population to 40 instead of the regular number of 6 on the population sign.two guns said it was a small town and i believed him. he told me it's so small that when he sits on the throne and blows gas it raises the lid on his neighbors john 3 house down.

I believe TwoGuns is somewhere around Vidailia, a small town but I thought I saw more outhouses than the population sign would indicate the last time I went through there. Keep in mind that was in 2008. May have shrunk in population since then.
