Tell me about it ... I'm on my second windshield. They don't come cheap. I'll lay something ... sheet of cardboard, probably ... on the windshield and secure it properly.
My suggestion is:
Go to a sign company, ask for a 4x8 sheet of CORAPLAST,
Colors cost more, but white should run you about Eleven $,
That what it is at our shop.
Coraplast is a product just like cardboard. But plastic. You can mold it
to the curves of the machine. Can cut it with a sharp blade, X-acto blade
is what I use. IF it gets wet, don't fall apart. Use of many things.
Get you a sheet and cover the glass. Or, get two, cut to size, and
sandwhich, then take a few rachet straps, and secure. Back onto trailer.
Close friend of mine purchased a RTV last year,Told him how I haul mine (backwards). On the way home meet a vehicle that must of kicked up a rock. Glass gone. He just turned around and went back to the shop. Asked him why he didn't run it up in the trailer backwards, his reply: " Was going to starting tomorrow". >>>>>>>>>>> in my mind I was thinking, I needed to make him a sign >>>>>
