I'll add another Commandment I heard from an attorney: Because 'gone' doesn't really mean gone for a crazy person.

11. You need to pay whatever it takes to buy your way out of the mess. Locks, restraining order fees, attorney fees, whatever will buy insulation and finalize the situation.

Force her be crazy all by herself instead of hugging you in a destructive dance. (That phone call about diesel is a perfect example).

Later you will say that was the best money you ever spent - even while you are still paying off attorney fees or whatever.

This will cost far less than what you could get dragged through. It will also return your peace of mind when you know you are isolated and free.
 
Also any joint accounts you have, take the money out and close them if you can before she does. If they will not let you close them get the money anyway. Any credit cards get her off or close them so she cannot max them out. Keep a close eye on your free credit report to make sure she does not use your name to open a new account. Get a good lawyer.
 
Get yourself a new number and don't text,email or talk to her. All these things can be used against you and emotions trump common sense every time. Get yourself a restraining order before she makes this a painful and costly situation for you.

You get a once per year free credit report from the big 3 agencies. Spread them out over the year. Check now. Using a different company, check in 4 months. With the last company, check 4 months after that. You can then repeat every year.

I hope all is well with both of you,
Every situation is different and we all act different with anger & desperation.
Perhaps this may be the case and things can be rethought when tension lowers.
over reacting is what we are all guilty of and there is always 2 sides to a story.
