Started up the tractor today and this warning light came on.
Oil is good. Battery had been on a battery tender and turned the tractor over fine.
I've never seen this warning light before that i can recall.IMG_7057.pngIMG_7056.jpeg

I see that that is an orange tractor. Our big John Deere had one of those on the side in a metal can type holder and was hard to get loose we we got the warning it needed changing.. Sorta looks like an old metal oil filter can type filter . I 'm think Messick's would have a diagram of the location for your model ? I hope so .
edit: when we changed it, it looked like a paper canister about like a salt box. It was all oily so did need changing.

Here is a pic of L3010 Filters ...the one I need is the big un. Plan to call local Kubota dealer and pick one up in the morning.
Yeah, Zoomer, I think it is the regular engine filter. I've never changed it. :hide: I believe it was changed by the dealer when I had some other work done (but I'm not even positive of that right now).

After watching this video I will try cleaning it with my air compressor instead of running 70 miles round trip. Figure I can get it going and not make a special trip for the air filter.

Always check Wix and K&N filters

K&N does individual type search …. The air was listed at $53 but most auto parts stores sell cheaper ….. my best friend owns a chain of stores.

I searched the air filter # and got $20 from Amazon

Thanks Dawg. After blowing the filter out with the air compressor I was surprised that the warning light stayed on. So I broke down and drove to the local Kubota dealer and paid 30.01 for the filter. Genuine Kubota Part. LOL

And did the light go out???

this is what I was talking about on our JD having one - don't know if yours has it though. Just posting what I found. 32 minute mark.

Thanks BC. I have a contractor here so I will look to see if mine has that later this week ...or next week.

Got back to the tractor this morning. All lines to intake are clear. No obstructions. I also noticed when I turn the key on, before starting the tractor the warning light comes on. It never did that before. I had never even seen the light until this issue. To me, that indicates electrical, something with the light, not with the engine. I stopped there as no way I'm getting into the electronics. Made an appointment with dealer. Take it to him on the 25th. Till then I think I can use it and just be sure to watch that it does not overheat.

I saw this. Since you replaced filter it may be the sensor. Possibly clean or replace. The last comment stating if it comes on after turning key could be sensor. You still did good by removing cheapest concern first.

Replace/Clean Filters: Start by installing new primary/secondary elements or cleaning them with compressed air (inside out) or detergent/water if oily.
Check for Blockages: Inspect the entire air intake hose and housing for obstructions or cracks after the filters.
Inspect the Sensor: The air cleaner sensor (or dust sensor) is common point of failure.
Clean it: Gently clean the sensor and its connections.
Check Wiring: Look for corrosion or breaks in the sensor's wiring.
Verify Installation: Make sure the air filter cover is sealed properly, with any arrow pointing up, so dirt doesn't bypass the filter.
Reset/Check Electrical: If the light comes on immediately after turning the key (before starting), it might point to an electrical/sensor fault rather than just a dirty filter.
