Wheres The Best Place To Buy Fertilizer Tanks & A Plow For ATVs

Tractor Supply has the spray tanks. I picked up one of those very reasonable.

I've never seen a plow for an ATV. Doesn't mean they don't exist..... I just have not seen anything like that.

I would tend to agree with your brother. 1600 in parts is a lot. Sounds like it was rode hard and wrecked. More details on exactly what parts he put into might help explain the situation better. Call the guy and ask him.
No clue if that is a good price or not. I have my ATV's (honda's) and have not even tried to follow prices of the current crop of what all is available.

I probably wouldn't buy it for the repairs noted.

If an ATV is in good shape, here's how I figure its value.
Start with the price it could have been bought for new at the time it was originally made.
Deduct $1.00 per mile.
Deduct $100 per year.
That will normally get you really close to fair market value.

If it's not in good shape, deduct for damages or service needed. Personally, I don't buy an ATV that's been beat up. There's too many clean ones out there to buy something that's been abused.

EDIT TO ADD: I haven't had to put $1,600 into repairs in the last 7 ATV's I've owned combined

in some cases 1600 is alot but in other cases it's really not that bad. it all depends on what parts are in need of replaceing. the price of parts are going through the roof. i was told by the dealer that a new battery for my rhino would be 170.00 and thats for a regular battery.now if i take and add in the clutch part i broke and gaskets too the total would be around 600.00 and that would be just for a battery/ fixed primary clutch and a gasket.. i would ask what parts before makin a judgement on the machine.axles go for a few hundred too and you could snap one just trail ridin not to mention the cv joints. you need to be a milionare just to keep these things runnin sometimes.

Like it has been mentioned before it would be nice to know what parts where replaced. Also was it just parts or was labor included in that price. With most shops especially dealers reaching around $70-90 per hour it does not take long to rack up quite a bill.
