I got my plow all installed, my strobe lights are hooked up and my RTV 500 is all fueled up and waiting. Where's the snow?:letitsnow:

I can't wait to try this little buggy out pushing some snow around, it should be pretty good at plowing.:brows:

I dunno, but I'm ready for it and I'm praying for a good snow year this year :tiphat:

If you are in Dixie you might have a long wait on that snow DixieDog. :poke: :D

You'll have to wait a bit. I don't recall where you live but where I live (and have lived), our saying is "The only 2 months you won't see snow have the letter S in the month's name".

Oh yeah, for sure. I'm afraid you might see a hurricane before you see snow this year. Earl is bearing down on the north east. Good luck!!!!!!!

That is a 1972 Snow Trac. They have lots of different makes of the 'snowcat' type of vehicles and we have the largest community of snowcat users in the world over on Forums Forums www.forumsforums.com/3_9/
Mosey on over and have a look when you have the time.

The link that Doc provided is the link to the main forum but the Snowcat area is a small portion of that, a more direct link to the Snowcat area is => http://www.forumsforums.com/3_9/forumdisplay.php?f=65

There is a small but dedicated group of snowcat owners who have purchased ex-military, ex-commercial machines that have become obsolete for their original purposes but are still viable for over-snow travel in remote locations. Most of the owners are located in Alaska, Canada and remote northern Europe but many are also cabin owners with backcountry cabins in the Lower 48 or the European Alps, there seems to be a reasonable number of them located in NY, NH, VT, Maine area as well.

That photo I posted earlier was taken in my back yard a couple years ago. My avatar photo was taken in Scotland about 8 years ago.
