Hugs and prayers Brandi.
good luck!

ps. lake Marie looks real good.
Erik,
Thank you so much.:tiphat: I keep wanting to dedicate something in my Dad's name and keep thinking of my uncle and what he named his bigger pond )he had 4 other "stock tanks".) He named it after his living BIL..............Luther Lake. One day my Uncle added a short verse about Luther's wife...........Luther Lake and Dam Francis.:pat: But I just can not see Lake Marie having a Marshall dam.:respect: Guess I will have to dig a bigger pond and name it Lake Marshall! Plans are already forming in my head. Just gotta wait on getting that mini-excuvator! With all the rain down here, I need to google the site that sells that water film that drowns mesquito larvae just before they try to fly.

Fred,
Thank you so much for your support and prayers. The double hugs are needed also. Where on MU is it posted? I haven't seen that one yet.

I know my Dad is with Mom in heaven now. I kinda look forward to the services tomorrow. You see, Dad was a died-in-the-wool Aggie. He was in the class of 1944. Back then A&M was just a military college. He enlisted after Pearl Harbor and went on to become a B-17, then a B-24 pilot. He had all his shots to be shipped out to the South Pacific, but had knee surgery just before his squadon shipped out. He never left the states. He never went back to finish his degree in Vet. Medicine. His beliefs and aviation background is what I have built my life on. For all those that don't know what an Aggie is, it is a person that either attended Texas A&M or fell in love with someone that did. The spirit of Aggieland will never die. Aggie War Hymn - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Anyway...The Aggie War Hymn YouTube - Aggie War Hymn will be played at Dad's funeral service in his church. The Noble Men of Kyle (Kyle Field is the center of all Aggie traditions) YouTube - Noble Men of Kyle will be played as the graveside service is concluded. I came within an inch of going to A&M for Aerospace Engineering, as they have their own wind tunnel. My daughter graduated from The University of Texas in Austin........A&Ms longtime rival. I always loved seeing Dad and Rebecca exchange friendly hand signs for each of their alma matas. My truck has a sticker on the back glass stating........A House divided.............A&M.........UT.......but we all know it is all tradition and traditions are borne out of respect. Respect is what I have and feel for all of y'all.

Hi, Brandi. No, no tractor - my handle will probably always be appropriate, alas! The closest thing I have is the '94 JD LX176 lawn tractor I bought my daughter a couple of years ago for her half acre. Now that I'm living in her house since retirement, the grass cutting duties and wrenching are all falling to me (not that I mind!). I did register on Massey Ferguson's site for the new 1635 they are giving away, but winning that is like winning the lottery. Can't win if you don't play! On the bright side, I have now been retired a full year, and loving it!

Hugs back at ya

Fred,
I think Bobcat is still having a contest to win a tractor.

I looked at the Bobcat contest, too. First, a business name is required, and I don't have one. Also, you have to write up a unique use for your tractor, which I also don't have and didn't feel like tring to invent an imaginary one. The MF contest is for either a tractor or $10,000 cash, and requires only a simple online entry. I figure my chances of winning are probably marginally better than winning PowerBall - not as many entrants and someone will win.

Fred

Oops, I said that too loud, didn't I? Now more people know about it - I can hear my chances slowly draining away....

Thanks Doc for sending me an email asking where I was. I have been fighting fires with the lawyer over Dad's estate and the assistant DA on the assault charge against my brother. All of it is still up in the air and it might be anothr month before I see some relief and sale his house. Needless to say it is working hard on my nerves.

In December the judge finally probated Mom and Dad's will (after 5 apperances before him) and I could sale the house. I got an email yesterday evening that the title company says I am all clear to sale Mom and Dad's house. I cried tears of happiness when I read that email. I heard today that we will be closing next Tuesday. Prayers are still needed, as my brother is hot about me "stealing the house" (his words) from him. The assault case against him is still on the horizon. The court is waiting to get a mental exam (my brother's request!) on him to see if he is competent to stand trail. Please pray for both of us.

Thanks Y'all. I forgot to mention...........at the will probate hearing, my brother got there late. He started talking while the Judge was talking to my attorney. The Judge told the baliff to escort my brother out of the court room. My brother said something else and the Judge said.............You say another word and I will throw you in jail!
