Winch Question RTV 900

I have searched and searched but can not find what I need. I purchased a Superwinch that will bolt up directly to my 2012 rtv 900. With the mount that came with the winch I am able to mount the winch nicely inside the "winch cubby" on the front. The problem is the roller fairlead is also well inside the front.
This looks like it would catch on the plastic or my front bumper unless I pull straight and level directly in front of me. I have attached a picture of what I believe I need to move the fairlead to the front of the machine. Does anyone know if I can buy just that mounting bracket or do I need to have one made. Looks like it would be a simple generic L bracket but I cannot seems to find it.

Much appreciated!

Saw something similar at a local TSC Store in the nuts and bolts section. Of course a 2" 3/16 flat bar bent at 90 degrees on both ends would do the trick.

Thanks Kanook! I will run by TSC this afternoon and see what I can find. I would rather pick one up then have to get one custom made if they are readily available somewhere. Will provide update on what I find.

Or a piece of 2x2 angle iron or 2.5x2.5 angle iron 1/4" thick 6 or 8" long and cut the notch out.

I used to have a pile of the brackets you need. I think I gave them all away to people with a similar situation you're encountering. Odd that the winch didn't come with one. I "think" they used to.

Check e-bay. I just glanced to make sure they still have them. This is probably the one you need but confirm the measurements. It looks right but confirm your measurements. Check around e-bay for others. I just picked the first one so I don't know if it's the best price.

bczoom, thanks for the link. I may go that route too as I have seen those type mounts. I was hoping I could find the one that bolts up on those factory holes like the one in the picture. May end up with the angle iron if TSC doesn't have what I need.

Made me look at my RTV. I have a bracket similar to what you pictured in your first post.

Something tells me Tommy (his name is Peanut on the forum) made mine. I'll check with him.

Edit to Add:
Post 3 in this thread. It's an old thread, imported into this software so excuse the formatting errors and lack of pictures.

In post 3, the part # for the Kubota bracket is K7561-91430. Same post has bolt measurements. Well, it's no longer $30. I found it here for $52.

I'm still going to check with Tommy to see if he makes them.

If you are just mounting the fairlead the angle iron will do.

I had mine hidden in where you have yours and realized later how awkward it was to use.

Moving the winch out onto the front rack is really a better option.

Any machine shop or welding shop should have that piece just laying around.

I would bet, that if you had your RTV on a trailer, and showed them what you
needed. They could not only have yor bracket, but could punch your holes with
the Piranha machine.

yes a machine shop is a good idea but you better hope you know the guy who works there or owns it because all the shops down here have a 1 hour minimum and they charge about 80 bucks an hour plus material. when ever I need something done at a machine shop I usually trade them some welding work for some machine work. find me a site with the part you need and i'll beat their price. I will beat anybodys price on anything they make .I have a lot of stock material layin around they build it for profit I build it for fun.

Decisions Decisions

So I came up with a few options. Found a bracket I could modify at TCO that would most likely work $17. Also, called Kubota place and for $55 I can get the bracket pictured above or for $65 I can get an entire mounting kit that puts the winch out front. The TCO bracket is real heavy duty. Peanut, what would you charge to make me a mount like in the picture above? It looks like TCO maybe the cheapest option and probably the strongest. I appreciate all the feedback!

I cou probably fit it in the smallest flatrate box they have so shipping would be about 7 or 8 bucks

I have an account in a swiss bank i'll get you the routing number.just pm me i'll give you the address.lol
