007Rhino ,I want to third the "thank yous" to you. We appreciate ya and know how it is. I see the writing on the wall so to speak. As you aluded to ,starting on the right end of a cow, with pulling calves , I know if a person doesn't do the chains right, you can tear up the calves hooves at the least and how needed that extra set of muscles and lube are when you are in deep beep beep. also how that little piece of straw can bring on a snort that gets a calf to breathing... Good luck with you hay , but come back when you can . Your input is always appreciated by us good old guys and gals. Bordercollie

07Rhino--just want to add my own expression of gratitude for your input. I have not felt in any way qualified to add to this discussion, but it has been a very enlightening thread at a variety of levels. This forum is blessed with some tremendously helpful RTV owner (and wannabees!) who graciously share their expertise and resources. It is a privilege to have you on board as you are able. Good luck with the haying! Wish I could help. That was always a summer job that I loved to do.

Well, I secured a turbocharger or two yesterday. And I know some
guys that use these RTV's to move open class pulling trucks around, and
these guys run injection shops. One of which I talked to a couple
years ago about modding the pump. I assume he'll still do it for me.
With that being the case, if I can just get this trans to take some power..... I'll put some on it, lol.

Anybody know the CR on this little engine? It is DI isn't it?

If it won't hold I'll chuck the pistons up in the lathe and drop the
compression a bit. Surely the rods can hold a 100% increase in power.
I figure with a modded pump and a turbo I should be able to make 30 to
40hp no sweat. That ought to give this thing a swift kick in the
pants. If I can't keep the head on I'll have a set of studs made for
it.

You could say I've snapped.... but for some reason today I'm feeling
the need to make this thing the way it SHOULD be. Regardless.

If you guys can help me get the hydrostatic unit prepped well, I'll
throw some power at it. It's not like I'm going to void the warranty
or anything.

lmao.

Seeing as though you are wanting to put my help on the back burner,
I will do the same. You are trying to pull a calf from the wrong end
and reaching your arm down the cows throat.

I gave you the option for all the information on that machine
through download, but you seem to not want it. I won't be around for
awhile, its haying season and when that is done going away for a bit.
So if I am on, it will be sporatic.

Good luck with your engine build, and like I have said before, if
you DON'T have charge pressure, correct main relief pressure, that HST
won't work proprely. So you can build yourself a 40hp engine, it
doesn't matter, that HST won't transfer any power because you need to
do step one first.

Well, you have yet to post anything for me to go test...

My email address is not the same as it was when I first registered on this site. I tried for a bit to figure out how to change the email address that comes up if you try to contact me via this site, but I didn't find it. However, once you suggested that I simply contact you via your listed email address I stopped trying to figure out how to change mine, and simply shot you an email with my new address.

I have checked my email account three times since then and have not recieved your bountiful onslaught of info as of yet. I guess I don't know what you expect me to do in lack of any direction as to what I should be doing.

I did what I believed was asked of me. I thought you were simply busy like me, and hadn't had the time to reply yet.

Lastly..... you think I won't yank that hydrocrap out and sink it to the bottom of the pond if it turns out that it can't get the job done? The only reason I'm even screwing with it is because it's what's already in the vehicle. Saves me the time/money of reworking something if I can get by on what it's already got. The trans in my truck puts over 600hp to the ground...... trust in the fact that there ARE better options for power transmission than hydraulic oil. I still don't understand why ATV/UTV designers seem to think they aren't capable of using planetaries and clutch packs like the automotive world has for decades. I could flip the engine around and set it where the hydrocrap is now, then hit something like a glide, or a TH350 or similar, then fab a drop box that runs shaft power under the entire engine to a rear mounted differential, something like what you would find in a suburu WRX. There are many ways to fix that vehicle that don't involve moving copious amounts of hydraulic fluid.

On Edit:

Don't worry about it. Since I still don't understand why you wouldn't have simply posted the pertinent information on the forum to begin with, just forget I ever asked. You chose to skip the OBVIOUS line of communication that we had going and do the email bs dance in the first place. Just keep your info.

Did that, when he first said he emailed me and I remembered that my address had likely changed since I registered on this site. I did the whole "contact" thing, and sent it off, giving him my new address in the body of the submission.

He must have missed it, or it didn't go through. All I can do on my end is click submit, and see that it appears to have worked as intented. If I had to guess, I'd say he opened it, and replied to it (sending the message to my old address AGAIN) instead of reading the first line I wrote, which was my new address.

He's obviously too busy to screw with this. I understand that. I am not interested in it anymore. I will consult my manual, and then tear it apart and reverse-engineer it myself.

I did the same thing when the request was 1st posted as I wanted to make sure I could get the same info if it was going to be presented outside the forum . I'll do a test email to 2guns just to see if I'm doing it rite.

why not just have a "problem thread" ? why have someone email you for the info and you email them back and so on ?why not just keep all the info in the forum so others can read it to and maybe they can learn from the info ?after all people are supose to come to the forum for help not be shuffled around to email adresses for help just post the info in here that they need why must they email 07 for the info it just sounds kinda wierd to me and another thing is the websight isn't gaining any info because none of the helpfullinfo is being posted in here it's being emailed out privatly . start that thread and start acumulateing post in it so people can come in and read the problems and the solutions not problems and here's an email address.
why not just keep all the info in the forum
Totally agree....I did a test email to 2 guns just to see if it works....2guns, let me know if you received the msg. I sent a few emails this way in the past to members on unrelated bota stuff and never gotta reply so assumed I was just being ignored.

Jamie - I sent you an e-mail from the site as well. Since you didn't get it, let's assume that function isn't currently working.

Ummm, I like Spam (with mustard and lettuce, on toast), porno (Yeaa baby) and junk (I prefer it to be called "stuff", but as Tommy says "One mans junk is another mans treasure") so I'll give mine here.

OK, if everyone adds me to their address book, I can be in the middle if you need to contact other members.

If you don't believe I already have your address and you want to give it to me, send me an e-mail. Please include something like RTV or CTR or something in the subject so I know it's from the site.

If you then ask a member to contact you, post something or send me an e-mail and I can send them an e-mail with your contact info.

Oh, now that y'all have my address, I do expect some jokes and stuff sent to my address... The more the better!!!

Kubota k, Several months ago you had asked for some info in a post and I used the contact to send it to you. Did you ever get that? I think it was about the cable adjustments. I assumed I too was being ignored. On the posting subject, If material is copyrighted then it could cause serious problems for who posted it. That could possibly be the reason prefered for the emails. Just a thought..... Bordercollie

Nope..Never did get it..Kinda 'splains my paranoia about not being liked..Good thing I'm not too big a baby and decide to pick up my toys and go play in another sandbox...just funnin on that comment. You're right on the copyrighted issue, that why I only post (like my blizzard snow blade stuff) items that I downloaded from the the manufacturers' web site. It is kinda nice to acknowledge receipt of stuff...kinda closes the loop and lets the source know that it was received and appreciated.

Oh! And thanks for the what ever you sent me that I never got.
