as far as the wheels locking up, either buy a coast valve or learn to feather the accelerator pedal. Feathering saves your brake pads....... as far as power you might need to replace the hydraulic pistons on the pump and the drive side of the hydrostat. Hopefully Aurthuritus will weigh in he...
try messicks. each model has a page the gives you all that info. PS only use Kubota super UDT2 for your hydraulics and transmission. https://www.messicks.com/catalogs/kubota/rtv-x1140w/frequently-used-items/000001-filter-and-fluid-capacity
You have the wrong turn signal set. The ones you have are for the RTVX1100 (previous model). one each of the following should fix the problem K7121-96280, K7121-96120 they are $85 each. The correct kit is U13500 from Kubota whole goods. I believe you have U13300
You learn to feather the throttle pedal, so you don't eat the dash. The X series is not quite as severe, but you learn to drive which ever one you have. Someone makes a kit that allows you coast or the sensation is similar to freewheeling a belt drive UTV. I had one briefly in my RTV 900 but...
Kubota rates the engines for 5k hours. so by that standard the engine is about 50% used up. I have however seen them go to 10k with proper maintenance. I would be worried about the Hydrostat unit without proper maintenance the like to grenade. They are about $7k to replace. I bought mine...
not hard, however the head gasket rarely goes bad. Usually, it is the head that cracks when they overheat. Also if it has been run with the cracked head, check the compression because it isn't uncommon for the connecting rods to bend.
I would guess a cracked head. Kubota makes very good engines but if they overheat once usually it will crack the head. I would stop using it until you fix the head. If you continue to drive it or have used it a lot since the initial overheating, you will bend the connecting rods which will...
The steering wheel not staying straight is a Kubota thing. It used to bother me but now I don't notice it. If the steering wheel has never been removed it can be tough to get off but if it is damaged, try a dead blow hammer near the three spokes or make an accessory for a wheel puller that...
I am not sure about the non diesel models, but the way the hydrostat works with the transmission there is a fine line between speed and the ability to climb hills. You can milk a little more speed out of the diesel models but in the end you will not be able to climb hills.
I think if I were you I would either get some gauges and check pressures as per the manual or pull the hst and check the wear on the pump swash plate ant on the motor. Also look for some older post from Arthuritus. He has helped several guys get their machines fixed. He is a wealth of...
