New to me x1100c has quite a bit of hydraulic noise that seems to be coming from the charge pump/hst filter when it's at idle. Runs perfectly normal except for the whine. Is this normal? My other machine doesn't do it near this much.

I'm trying to get a cylinder head complete with valves from my kubota dealer to replace my cracked on in my rtv1100 with the d1105 engine. Dealer tells me he can only get a cylinder head without valves. Does anyone have a part number or source for a loaded cylinder head?

It was loose. They have an o-ring seal and are made to screw in tight.

Figured it out. There are 3 switches on top of the tranny. The center one that they call the safety switch just needed to be done up 1/4 turn.

Worked on an x1100c for a neighbour this spring. 16000 hrs, 24000 miles. Still ran and looked great.

Question for other xg850 owners: When the machine is warmed up, I get a little bit of a belt chirp when starting out. Is this normal or do I have a belt problem?

You need to take the tamper proof cap off of the charge pump adjustment screw and turn it in a turn or two and see how it is.

Does the engine pull down when the speed decreases? If it does not, you could turn the charge pump pressure up to make the hst more 'positive'

If the engine is not pulling down, try turning the charge pump pressure up. That will make the tranny more positive.

Wondering if it might be a grounding issue.....after looking at the wiring diagram, does anyone know where Ground #1 attaches?

Fiddled around pulling fuses and relays.....now the instrument cluster lights work, but the speedometer still does not. When I first got the machine the speedometer was inop, but suddenly it started working.....any suggestions?
