I wondered this too when I bought my x1140. Figured it was normal. Glad to hear others are the same.

No shame in that Doc. Sometimes it is just the right move with all things considered. Found out I have developed arthritis in my back. Explains the pain but it can really curb the enthusiasm for things that before didn't seem like such a big deal!

I had an antifreeze leak when mine was new as well. It was a loose clamp on the water pump. Tightening alone didn’t fix it. I had to warm up the machine, loosen the clamp, move the hose around a little and then retighten. Hasn’t leaked since.

I am leaning towards it being defective. I can’t imagine there could enough vent pressure to damage it. The vent tube is unobstructed.

Kubota replaced the bushing, paid to replace filters and fluid and documented issue. It is running great still with no issues so I am just going to get back to work and enjoy it. Thanks everyone for the feedback.

Is this just for RTV’s. If so does such a thing exist for mowers. I bought a ZD326 used and always wandered when it was built.

Same one I used. They are great!

I have always used Power Service, Silver bottle in summer and White bottle in winter. It has worked fine for me in Indiana weather.

The rubber washers did the trick for me as well.
